“Quo Vadis Animal experimentation and NAMs? – The holistic approach“
The value of animal experiments is a topic of critical discussion in society. However, with novel omics techniques at the single-cell level in transgenic animals carrying reporters for cellular lineage tracing, we are witnessing a revolution in molecular biology. Non-animal methods (NAMs) and computer modeling approaches are becoming increasingly sophisticated and advanced, yet they still require data and insights from organismic experiments, including those involving animals, to continue improving.
In this month’s #Talking3RScience Webinar, Jan Tuckermann from the University of Ulm invites participants to join the discussion on what is fundamentally needed to integrate findings from animal experimentation, NAMs, and computer modeling. This integration will help develop the most advanced approaches to answer relevant questions in life sciences and create novel therapeutic strategies for the future.
