“Mass Spectrometry for Studying Organoids & Organ-on-Chip Systems“
Mass spectrometry is a key technique in analytical chemistry, which allows for the simultaneous measurement of compounds with a high degree of confidence. Mass spectrometry is used for e.g. drug analysis, metabolomics, and proteomics. In this talk, Wilson will introduce mass spectrometry and related techniques (e.g. liquid chromatography and electrospray ionization), discuss advantages and limitations, and describe applications related to organoids and organ-on-chip. Wilson will also give tips on what to consider when planning to use mass spectrometry for your samples. Also, validation steps and standardization for mass spectrometric-based methods will be discussed.
