Online Training and On-site Training

With the Organ-on-Chip online training, the 3R-Center Tübingen provides a free course introducing the theoretical foundations of Organ-on-Chip (OoC) systems and their role as human-relevant New Approach Methodologies (NAMs). Taught by 14 international experts from academia and industry, the training is aimed at anyone interested in gaining deeper insight into Organ-on-Chip technology.

The online training is built around the Core Module, which serves as the foundation of the program. As an introduction it provides a comprehensive overview of NAMs, the 3R principles, ethical considerations, and the relevant regulatory framework.

The Organ-on-Chip training provides in-depth theoretical knowledge and insight into the technological development of Organ-on-Chip systems and their application as human-relevant NAMs.

The program is designed for researchers, students, and stakeholders from academia, industry, and the broader public.

To participate in the online training, simply register for free on Moodle. Once registered, the training modules will be available for you to complete at your own pace.

Our specialized On-site Training supports the implementation of Organ-on-Chip technologies in BioPharma and MedTech. In a 2.5-day intensive course, participants gain practical insights into Organ-on-Chip technology and learn how to apply it in interactive workshops alongside experts.

The On-site Training is specifically designed for small and medium-sized enterprises in Biopharma and MedTech. The goal is to promote the use of New Approach Methodologies and to accelerate the transfer of innovative Organ-on-Chip technologies from research to industrial practice.

In order to participate in the On-site Training, participants must have successfully completed the Core Module and the relevant Sub-Module of the Organ-on-Chip Online Training program. Once they have received their certificates, interested participants can apply for a spot in the On-site Training in Tübingen.

The Organ-on-Chip Online Training is part of the EDUCATE training program of the Interreg NWE STEP4NAMs project and offers comprehensive access to key New Approach Methodologies. Additional sub-modules focus on innovative key technologies such as:

• Organoid Models (University of Luxembourg, Luxembourg),
• Digital Twins (University of Galway, Ireland),
• and Benchtop Simulations (Atlantic Technological University, Ireland).
