The MS Wissenschaft is preparing to embark on its next journey, once again transforming Germany’s waterways into a floating science experience. Each summer, the ship invites visitors to explore research up close. Admission is free, and the exhibition follows the theme of the annual Science Year. In 2026, the focus is on Medicine of the Future.
The 3R-Center Tübingen is part of the exhibition. On board, visitors can discover how cutting‑edge research and innovative technologies are shaping tomorrow’s medical landscape.
The tour begins on May 7 in Berlin. From there, the ship travels through Brandenburg and, for the first time, continues on to Szczecin. It then heads along the Baltic Sea coast in Mecklenburg‑Western Pomerania, returns via Brandenburg, and continues through Lower Saxony, North Rhine‑Westphalia, Baden‑Württemberg, Rhineland‑Palatinate, Hesse, and Bavaria. The journey concludes in Austria, with the final stop on September 30 in Vienna.
The MS Wissenschaft is organized by Wissenschaft im Dialog on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Research, Technology and Space.
