Course: Alternative non-animal methods in biomedical research

Pauline Jeckel-Maier will participate as a speaker in the continuing education course “Alternative non-animal methods in biomedical research” at University of Eastern Finland in Kuopio, Finland. The course will take place from 25–26 August 2026 at the Kuopio Campus in the Snellmania Building (Room SN201, Yliopistonranta 8).

As part of the program, she will give a presentation titled “Advancing microphysiological systems adoption through targeted education and training formats.” The course focuses on innovative animal-free methods in biomedical research, including organ-on-chip, in vitro, and AI-supported in silico approaches, and brings together experts from academia, industry, and regulatory institutions.
